|I love the look of this Contemporary Townhouse!|
So after years of lamenting that we didn't have enough modern or contemporary construction in Redondo Beach now that I'm starting to see more builders attempt this style, I can only say that the results are hit and miss. Like anything else, some get it and some don't. There's more to doing this right than just buying some hipster looking materials which may look very dated but more on that later.
There have been a few good and some great projects (Reed, Stanford, Harriman) and others that haven't hot the mark (previous construction on Clark closer to Aviation.) Some of the South Redondo projects have been done better,
What few or none of them have either authentic or green finishes or a lot of home automation. More on that in another post.
I've driven past it a million times as it was being built but have not yet seen 2313 Clark Lane. Here's the MLS description:
"New construction detached town-home with a contemporary flair. Top quality throughout and a very stylish finish. From the beautiful front door to the fireplace in the back yard, this home has it all. The kitchen has high end appliances, wood cabinets and beautiful counter top. The home has wood floors throughout and tile in the bathrooms and a sense of quality at every corner. The back yard has some hard-scape for outdoor furniture, a grassy area and a fireplace for evenings."
I'll be previewing it over this weekend and include my comments it in a subsequent update.
Listed by 3 Leaf Realty for $1.2M which is more or less the going price for detached 4 bedroom new townhomes in North Redondo Beach these days. MLS SB15199640.
