|New Construction Townhouse North Redondo Beach CA|
We're still seeing a reasonably steady supply of new construction in North Redondo Beach - primarily detached 2 on a lots listed for around $1.2M. Builders haven't been able to move past that price point although Golden Hills Tall and Skinny SFRs which are usually smaller SqFt have handily surpassed $1.3-$1.4M.
In addition to the price points I see builders struggling to move away from the tried and true finish work we've seen in the area for the last 15 years or so, basically a mishmash of Mediterranean, pseudo Spanish, with some Normandy or Santa Barbara thrown in. Admittedly the builders got very good at that style but the buying public seems to have move on the more contemporary, "beach-y", almost farm house style in some instances. In Manhattan Beach they refer to it as "Plantation" but I really can't say I've seen much of that in Redondo Beach as of yet.
So here's a good example of a newly completed property just listed in MLS Area 151 on Farrell. The exterior is pictured above and at first glance kind of looks like a lot of other similar homes in the area.
Inside, however, definitely different than other recent listings offered by this builder. Here's what I'm referring to:

Like nothing else on the market!"
Here's another picture of the kitchen:
This builder did a similar kitchen in a Tall & Skinny on Stanford in the Golden Hills. That house had a much more contemporary feel and the back splash worked a whole lot better. I am also finding that while buyers locally are looking for something different, these hyper Euro kitchens may be too much.
Here's the new construction currently available in North Redondo Beach:
Of these, I find the 3 leaf listing on Clark the most interesting.
