Real Estate Agents often talk about being a "listing agent" or a "buyer's agent". Is there really a difference? Well, yes and no. There are certain skill sets that are different on each side of the equation and not every agent can effectively do both.
For example, while knowing how to price a home for sale is very important, knowing what a buyer should pay is arguably more important because a) if you can't get properties for your clients you aren't really helping them and b) you don't want deals falling out of escrow because they don't appraise.
