Should You Stage Your Redondo Beach Home to Sell?

While it is very common for home owners to ask me what repairs they should make before they list their home or if they should paint or update flooring, very few ask about staging. After decluttering, staging is the next biggest bang for the buck and in most instances is far more beneficial that either painting or updating flooring.

So after you get all of your non essential "stuff" into the garage and your house has had a thorough cleaning, you might consider staging. The benefits are so great that at as of a few years ago I specifically made a decision that I would never list another vacant property even if I have to pay to stage it. What I can share with you is that presentation counts. When Buyers come to view a property they want to be wowed and impressed. Staging also show that you as the Seller take pride in your home and want to present it in the best possible light. Because you treat your home with respect the Buyer will as well.

I've previewed thousands of homes with Buyers and I can tell you from first hand experience that most people even if they are visually oriented just aren't that imaginative and don't have great ideas as to how space can be used.

Think about it. When you go on a first date or for a job interview don't you want to make a great first impression and put your best foot forward? Of course.

While not exactly the same scene, here's the same home, 1900 Slauson Ln, vacant. (Staging also shown above.)

Other than the professional lighting, I'm sure you agree as to which is the better look!
