Ten Most Expensive North Redondo Beach Homes : Sold in 2017

N Redondo Beach SFRs set record high prices

While the number of sales over $1.5M remained constant at 17 throughout 2016-2017, 90278 home prices set new record highs with the highest priced sale exceeding the previous high  by almost $100K.

Quick stats:

  • All Single Family Residences
  • 8 ver 3,000 Sq Ft
  • 6 had 5 bedrooms
  • 6 new construction
  • 2 sold "off market"
  • 5 in MLS Area 151
  • 3 homes were on Robinson

FYI, these days you hear a lot of Brokers touting themselves as selling "luxury real estate" but not really defining what they mean by that.

For me, it is the top 10% of the market as defined by price. At that level you are exceeding the needs of housing in the area and presumably enjoying amenities beyond the what other homes offer.

Here's a recap of the 10 homes that sold for the highest prices in 2017 in North Redondo Beach followed by my top three dream homes from the list.

Enjoy and buy those lottery tickets.

Located just a few blocks east of Aviation this home provides easy access to beaches, shopping, cafes, restaurants and award winning schools.

Listed for $1.8M it sold for $1,825,000 with multiple offers. In speaking to the builder he did disclose to me that they had offers even before it hit the market but they put in in the MLS and had Open Houses to get maximum exposure.

If this SFR was just one block east of Aviation in Manhattan Beach, the sales price would have been at least $500K higher.

1913 Gates Av, Redondo Beach 90278

1913 Gates Interior

I had to include at least one resale in the list and this is it.

I loved this property when it was previously listed for $2.2M which was more than the North Redondo Beach market could bear. At least at the time. I liked it even better last year for $1.799M and someone got a great deal at $1,725,000.

This home reminds me of something i would expect to see in venice not the South Bay.
